Catholic Identity
|
 |
In many areas of the country, the traditional model of “one parish one school” is changing. Closures, clustering of schools and the growing numbers of non-Catholics being served in urban schools are among the reasons that maintaining schools’ Catholic identity is considered a high priority in Catholic education.
At SchoolOne, we can help your school or diocese maintain its Catholic identity in a number of ways through our student information system (SIS).
- At the administrative level within the SIS, the diocese logo and colors appear on all screens, reports, etc.
- At the school level within the SIS, the school’s logo and colors appear on all screens, reports, parent letters, report cards, etc.
- The SIS volunteer module was designed and built specifically to help Catholic schools manage volunteer opportunities available to students, parents, staff, and lay volunteers.
|
- The calendar and announcements features allow users to post and view information about school, parish, or diocesan events, including mass times and holy days.
- File sharing allows distribution of materials, including educational and religious documents, PDFs, videos, and podcasts.
- Custom integration and single sign-on allow schools to deliver web-based religious instruction right through the SIS.
- SIS Welcome Page customization allows schools to link to other web-based Catholic resources, including daily readings, saint of the day, and the online Catechism of the Catholic Church.
