The widespread implementation of information systems has had an enormous impact on education. Your school, district, or management company can now process information and workloads more effectively and efficiently than ever before. But SchoolOne understands that these many systems have created a new challenge for educators: System integration. |
Making Connections
| |
No one tool meets every need, and getting different tools to talk to each other is a challenge you never have the time, money, or expertise to fully overcome. SchoolOne knows your systems are only as good as their ability to integrate and help you connect all the members of your school community.
A key to SchoolOne’s client service over the past nine years has been integration of many functions and the automation of work processes across those functions. We’ve built single sign-on from students’ school web portal pages into curriculum providers’ learning management systems. We’ve integrated automated school supply ordering into the enrollment process so the order for a students' supplies is automatically routed to the vendor for fulfillment and then back to the financial system for billing and accounting.
SchoolOne can not only talk about integration, we’ve done it. We understand both its challenges and its potential. Using this knowledge and experience, we built SchoolOne 2009, a student information system that incorporates many of the lessons we learned while integrating systems for schools. Depending on your needs, we can implement SchoolOne 2009 as a total or partial solution or use our expertise to create and implement an integration plan specifically for your systems. |
Standards Compliance
| |
An essential part of any integration plan is compliance with standards. SchoolOne 2009 is built around the latest SQLServer database technology, making it Open Database Connectivity Compliant (ODBC). SchoolOne is also one of the founding members of the Schools Interoperability Framework Association (SIFA), and is committed to SIF-compliant application integration, whether through an actual zone integration server (ZIS) or another means of applying the SIF data-exchange standards. In addition, our commitment to SharePoint 2007 and its new Learning Gateway framework can accomodate learning object standards integration, such as compliance with the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM).
If you want to save time, reduce costs, and get more from your information systems, let SchoolOne help you review your needs and opportunities. |
